Darryl A. Nelson, age 86, of St. Croix Falls, WI passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his residence in St. Croix Falls.

Darryl was born May 1, 1939 in La Garde Township, MN to parents, Clarence and Clara (Fagre) Nelson.

He is survived by his children Scott (Cheryl), Kristine Orton, and Elery (Nicole); seven grandchildren, Mason Nelson, Devin Orton, Taylor Orton, Shay Nelson, Alex Juleen, Collin Nelson and Tyler Nelson; three great-grandchild, Jaxon, Burnett, and Wyatt; sister, Eileen (Steve) Amberg; brothers, Merlyn (Pat), and Doug (Linda); sisters-in-law, Midge and Carol Nelson, and Joanne Peterson; and brother-in-law, Phil Brenizer. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce; parents; and siblings Larry and Terry.

Celebration of Life for Darryl will take place on his 87th birthday, Friday, May 1, 2026 at First Lutheran Church in Cushing, WI at 1:00 PM. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Burial to follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery. There will also be an evening visitation the night before on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
