David Dale Cramlet, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 11, 2026 surrounded by the love of his wife and children - and 50 years to the day that his father passed.

Dave was born on October 4, 1958, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Shirley and LuDale “Bud” Cramlet. He spent his early childhood in Minnesota before moving to Amery around 1970. It was there that he met the love of his life, Pam. They were married on August 4, 1978, and together built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, family, and lifelong friendships.

Dave dedicated nearly 40 years to the concrete industry, where his hard work and strong work ethic earned the respect of those around him. Outside of work, he was happiest spending time with his family. His greatest joy in life was being a husband, dad, and grandpa. He treasured his four children, his ten grandchildren, and the many “bonus kids”—friends of his children who always knew they were welcome in his home and in his heart.

He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed training hunting dogs, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, golf, playing pool, gardening, cooking, and canning. Whether he was sharing vegetables from his garden, preparing a meal, or teaching someone a new skill, Dave found joy in taking care of the people he loved.

Dave will also be remembered for his quick wit and wonderfully quirky sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh, even during difficult times, and his jokes and playful spirit stayed with him until the very end.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and LuDale “Bud” Cramlet; his in-laws, Irene and Stanley Simonson; his beloved granddaughter, Hailey Russo; and his nephews, Jason Hallas and Chase Lewis, and brother in-laws, Steve Simonson and Dale Petersen.

Dave is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of nearly 48 years, Pam; his children, Kelly (Mike) John, Emily (Dave) Russo, Nick (Jayme) Cramlet, and Jake (Kelly) Cramlet; his bonus son, Tommy Cahill; and his cherished grandchildren, Alvis, Viola, Lenna, Eden, Olivia, Charlie, Gianna, Eiler, Abel, and Vayda. He is also survived by his brothers, Rick (Karen) and Mike (Collette) Cramlet; his sister, Debbie (Keith); sister in-laws, Dawn Petersen and Dianne (Buzzy) McCann, and brother in-law Richard (Susan) Simonson, and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Dave’s legacy of hard work, generosity, laughter, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12 noon - 5 pm at the Amery Golf Club where family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Dave’s life, share stories, and honor the many memories he created with those who loved him.
