David L. Hansen, age 67, of Spooner, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Shell Lake Health Care Center.

David Lee Hansen was born November 21, 1957, in Sheboygan, WI the son of Jerome and Joyce (Gibson) Hansen. He was raised in Sheboygan and graduated from high school there. After high school he worked for Vinal Plastics Company in Sheboygan and was an active stock car driver. He then continued his education by getting an associate’s degree in automotive mechanics. On April 6, 1985, David was joined in marriage to Shelly Bodzislaw in Sheboygan. David worked most of his career for Brantmeier Ford in Sheboygan as an auto mechanic. In 1996, David and his family moved to Spooner, WI where he would continue as a mechanic for Cifaldi Motors in Cumberland. In his free time, he and his son enjoyed working on a stock car racing team together. David was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Spooner. In his retirement, spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite thing to do.

David is survived by his three children, Will (Halea) Fisher of Shell Lake, WI, Jennifer (Jeremy) Siem of Spooner, WI, Kristi (Tony) Minot of Cottage Grove, MN; eight grandchildren, William, Evan, Layla, Gideon, Benjamin, Gabriella, Madelyn and Nathan; three siblings, Randy Hansen, Katherine Hansen, Debbie Mashock; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service celebrating David’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at First United Pentecostal Church of Spooner with Greg Miller officiating. A time of gathering will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. A private interment will be in the Spooner Cemetery at a later date.
