David Lauritsen, 69, of Barronett died Saturday, May 16, 2020 after a battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1950 in Shell Lake to Ernest and Dorothy (Jacobson) Lauritsen, and was raised in Timberland. Dave graduated from Cumberland High School in 1969. He was married in Cumberland on May 1, 1970 to Linda Fink. He lived in Muskego and worked for Delta Airlines in customer service for 32 years, retiring to Cumberland in 2003. Dave enjoyed hunting, was talented working with small engines and meticulously manicured his lawn. He led an active social life, and was well liked by those who knew him.

He is survived by his sons: Shawn (Stefanie) Lauritsen of Colgate and Chad (Kari) Lauritsen of Sun Prairie; grandchildren: Haley, Kyle, Gavin, and Kelsi; 3 siblings: Ronald (Nancy) Lauritsen of Cumberland, Julie (Ronald) Jensen of Rice Lake and Ruth Ellen (Steve) Thoe of Cumberland; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Linda in 2001; his parents; and brother, Larry Lauritsen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2020 at Lakeside Cemetery in Cumberland with Pastor Tim Schmidt officiating. Pallbearers are Chad Lauritsen, Shawn Lauritsen, Ron Lauritsen, Jason Lauritsen, Gary Fogelberg, and Jeff Paulus. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 2:00 PM at the Skinner Funeral Home prior to the service.
