In Memory of David Nordquist

June 10, 1959 - May 29, 2020

David Raymond Nordquist was born on June 10, 1959 in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He was the youngest of four boys born to his parents Raymond and Lorraine Nordquist.

He grew up in Clayton, Wisconsin helping his parents on the family farm. When David was not busy on the farm, he enjoyed fishing, wrestling, and long bike rides from the motel in Amery. David graduated from Clayton high school in 1977. After graduation he moved to Sacramento, California and attended trade school for carpentry. After a few years, Dave moved back to Clayton to take over the family farm. In 1985 he married Nancy Drevdahl (Jimmy and Rusty Kotula) and continued their family. Derek was born in 1990 followed by Danielle in 1991 and Denise in 1993. While raising a family he took up excavating, rental properties, and eventually mobile home transport. David knew the value of hard work and how to instill these qualities with others. In his ‘spare time’ he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, four wheeling on his farm, traveling and spending time with friends and family. David was a great father, grandfather, and friend.

He passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29th at his home in rural Clayton, WI at the age of 60. He will be greatly missed. David is preceded in in death by his parents, Raymond and Lorraine Nordquist, his son Derek Nordqust and his nephew Randy Nordquist.

He is survived by his daughters Danielle (Tyler) Nordquist and Denise (Mike) Gilbertson; his Grandchildren Lucas and Alayna Gilbertson; his brothers Wendel (Joan) Nordquist, Richard (Mary) Nordquist and Jim (Janice) Nordquist, along with many other close friends and family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery.
