Deborah Lee Alaimo passed away peacefully at Regions Hospital, with family at her side, at the age of 70.

Deborah “Debbea” was born to Gloria and Delbert Plankey in Worcester, MA on June 13th, 1952.

The family moved from Massachusetts to New York, where she learned to ride horses and developed her love of animals. She graduated from John Jay HS (Katonah, NY) in 1970. On March 13th, 1971, Debbea married Michael “Mike” Alaimo, and was blessed with two children.

Those talents progressed to teaching youth through the organization Very Special Arts Wisconsin, where she was a featured artist on numerous Christmas cards. Animals were her passion, whether furry or feathered. As a licensed rehabilitator, Debbea helped to rescue and care for wildlife here In Polk County, with her first volunteering work originating at the Wildlife in Need Center in the Waukesha area. She was also deeply influenced by her New England heritage and embraced being a descendant of the Mohawk tribe.

Debbea will forever be missed by her husband Mike, two sons Mike Jr (spouse Kerry) and Nathan, two granddaughters Megan and Katelyn, and fur babies Boo, Aggie and Oreo.

She is now united with her Savior, along with her father Del and mother Gloria.
