In Memory of Dee Rowe


February 18, 1940 - January 18, 2026

Deanna “Dee” Rowe was born on February 18, 1940 in Hayward, WI. She passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Deanna was raised in Hayward, WI and made Hayward and her family and friends there a priority throughout her life. She graduated from Wisconsin State College – Superior and taught elementary school for four years until she met Jerry and they started their family.

They were married for 61 years and settled in Roseville, MN where they raised their two daughters, Karrie and Gretchen. She became an active volunteer at her church, in the school district, and in the Roseville community as well as at the American Birkebeiner in Cable, WI. She and Jerry were members of Prince of Peace Lutheran church in Roseville since 1974.

Family and traditions, including cabin life, lefse making, cross country skiing, and gardening were always her priority. She enjoyed the St. Paul Winter Carnival for decades and often had family and friends joining her in the activities. She and Jerry also enjoyed travelling for Jerry’s work, as well as multiple visits to Norway, Colorado, Arizona, and Florida.

Deanna is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her parents, Bernard “Bud” and Emma Baldridge, and her sister, Judy Moncel (Dick). She is survived by her daughters, Karrie (Doug), Gretchen (Jim), her grandkids, Trevor (Jessika), Leah, and Melanie, her great grandson, Emmett, and her sister, Sue Vortanz (Bill). She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Roseville, MN on February 12, 2026 with visitation at 10:00 am, a service at 11:00 am, and lunch following. The internment for family only will follow lunch.
