December 16, 1966 - January 19, 2017

Delores Jean (Bassett) Christner, 81, of Spooner, WI passed away on Thursday January 19, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.

Delores was born on December 16, 1935 to William and Sophie Bassett in the Town of Rusk, Burnett County, WI.  She married Donald Christner on September 19, 1966.  They had one son, Darrin.

Delores loved to quilt, making many quilts for friends and family.  She loved her family deeply and was very involved with them.  She also canned fresh vegetables every fall from their own garden.  Dee was one of those women who could make soup out of rocks.  Besides being a wife, mother, and homemaker; she worked as an insurance agent for many years in Spooner.

Delores is survived by her husband Donald, son Darrin and his wife Stephanie of Spooner, sister Pat Johnson of Spooner, brothers LeRoy Bassett of Hertel, WI and Roger Bassett of Dresser WI, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her brothers William (Bill) and Chester (Chet) Bassett.

A Spring burial will be planned.
