In Memory of Dennis Connell

August 21, 1948 - June 10, 2022

Dennis Allen Connell “Stamps” passed away on June 10, 2022, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

He was born to Joyce and Laverne Connell on August 21, 1948, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Stamps attended and graduated from the Altoona public schools, Altoona, Wisconsin. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country with honor from 1966 – to 1972 when he was honorably discharged.

Stamps loved to spend his time outside, whether it be fishing, ice-fishing, hunting, or golfing. Most importantly, he enjoyed having a good time with friends. He always made time to stop and say hello to anyone he knew, and he always had a smile on his face. He had the most distinctive and infectious laugh that anyone around would know it was his before even seeing him.

He was a long-time member of the Balsam Lake Community Club, and the Fox Den Thursday night fishing tournament, and he went on many many fishing trips to Canada with his Balsam Lake friends. He was an avid Unity School sports enthusiast and supporter and didn’t miss many games.

He will be truly missed. The Balsam Lake community is a better place because of Stamps.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Laverne Connell, and his sister, Diana Connell.

Stamps leaves to celebrate his memory, daughter, Cari Anne (Bob) Brumfield of Kirkland, WA, grandchildren, Kyler and Zander Brumfield, siblings, Janine (Bob) Wildenberg of Eau Claire, WI, Colleen Connell of Merritt Island, FL, Patrick Connell of Eau Claire, WI, and Keith (Linda) Connell of Chippewa Falls, WI, and special friends, Linette and Tom Horn and their sons, also, Jody Binfet, Luke Mendlik, Duane and Cheryl Hejny, and Denny and Karan Aubin, as well as many other loving family and friends.
