In Memory of Dennis W. Luehman

February 18, 1961 - April 28, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Werner Luehman of Amery, WI. He passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones, on April 28, 2025 at the age of 64 after a courageous two-year battle against cancer. Dennis was born on February 18, 1961 to Orvin & Ruby Luehman. He grew up in Osceola, WI.

It was in Amery that Dennis met the love of his life and beloved wife, Nancy, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Dennis was known for his generous and kind heart, humble demeanor, and unwavering love and support for his family and community. Along with his wife, he was a devout member of West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osceola, WI and later, First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, WI.

To note that Dennis was a talented and skilled man would be an understatement. He worked as an electrician for nearly 40 years. In his early career, and for over a decade, Dennis and his father proudly owned Cedar Lake Electric in Star Prairie, WI. Dennis would then go on to work for Xcel Energy in Amery for 27 years. It was during this time that Dennis would serve his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Amery Fire Dept. for 25 years.

Dennis was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his good friends. His favorite fishing trips were those in his younger years with his dad and close family friends. You could often find Dennis driving his tractor and working on projects at home, volunteering his time doing work for his church, his family, his friends, and the community, or following his favorite team, the Packers. Dennis had a heart of faith and of service.

Preceded in joining the Lord were his father and mother, Orvin & Ruby Luehman; his sister, Deborah Krueger; his brother-in-laws Ray Nadeau and Steve “Boomer” Nadeau.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy Luehman; Nancy’s son, Mick (& Robin) Darvial, his nieces Jessica (& Michael) Gessner, Emily (& Michael) Hayman, Amanda Bolder, and their families; his brother-in-law Tom Krueger; and in-laws James & Darlene Nadeau, Teri Nadeau and Laurie Nadeau. He is also survived by several loving friends and relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, WI with a visitation two hours prior to the service at church.
