In Memory of Dennis Wirth


April 18, 1955 - September 3, 2021

Dennis Earl Wirth, 66, of Turtle Lake died, September 3, 2021 at St Mary's Medical Center.

He was born April 18, 1955 in St. Paul, MN to Earl and June (Zimmerman) Wirth.

He was married on September 6, 1975 to Mary Plenty at St. Ann Catholic Church in Turtle Lake who preceded him in death on September 24, 2015.

Dennis was a man who loved spending time in the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with his family. Traveling was one of his great passions. He cherished the time he got to spend with his kids and grandkids.

Dennis was skilled when it came to machinery, there was nothing that he could not fix. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He was known for his words of comfort like, “Did it hurt? Cause I didn’t feel a thing.”

He is survived by his significant other, Sharon Nordquist; son, Kurt (Nicole) Wirth of Turtle Lake; daughters, Amy (Bill) Chantelois of Osceola, and Sharilynn (Will) Wirth of Balsam Lake; stepchildren: Brian (Emily) Nordquist of Baldwin, Eric (Megan) Nordquist of Elk Mound and Amy Nordquist of Turtle Lake; grandchildren, Sierra (Leo) Wirth, Sidney and Spencer Wirth, Freddie Chantelois, Alexis (Lexi) Juleff-Laflie, Baileigh and Logan Juleff, Brooklynn Kumlin, Peyton, Carter, and Colin Nordquist, and Dawson Nordquist; mother, June Wirth; siblings: Rick Wirth, Dave (Robin) Wirth, and Dawn (James) Archie; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, father, Earl Wirth; and brother, Steve Wirth.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021, and one hour before the service. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Grace Church in Turtle Lake with Pastor Jason Buck officiating. Burial will be in Vanceburg Cemetery.

Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
