In Memory of Diane R. Knoepke


February 14, 1933 - July 11, 2023

Diane Knoepke (90) of Altoona (formally of Barron) died on July 11, 2003 at Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire.

Diane was born on Feb 14, 1933 in the Town of Wilson Dunn County to Hugh and Irma (Hohfeldt) Rogers.

She was married to Melvin Knoepke on February 17, 1951 in Ridgeland.

Diane was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church where she was active in Circle, Ladies Aid and Save the Babies Project.

Diane enjoyed gardening, her flowers and water aerobics as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl (Bruce) Eastman of Baraboo, Sue (Lowayne) Rust of Eau Claire and Gwen (James) Metcalf of Chetek; grandchildren, Scott and Shawn Eastman, Jennifer Rust Anderson and Jessica McFarlane, Brian Metcalf and Alyssa Voulgarelis; as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel (Donna) Rogers of Ridgeland; sister-in law, Marcia Rogers of Madison; and brother-in law, Ray Jarvis of Marquette, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 17th at Salem Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev Michael Nielsen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Ridgeland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church would be appreciated.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
