In Memory of Diane S. Pieper
Diane S. Pieper age 66, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Diane was born September 7, 1959, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Donald and Ann (Cole) Mars.
Diane lived a life filled with love, faith in God, service, and creativity. As her girls were growing up, she passed on her faith by teaching catechism classes and going on mission trips with them. In recent years, she joined in studies and retreats in the parish, always wanting to grow in her faith and helping others to grow also. This faith flowed into her passion of sewing and knitting.
Diane always had a project in the works, and her primary thought while making each item was the joy they would bring to that special person who received her hand-made creation.
Diane enjoyed adventures and exploring. When her girls were younger, she would take them on camping trips in the summer to explore new areas and enjoy God’s creation. In recent years, she and Ken traveled extensively throughout the United States, enjoying new places and experiences side by side.
In the summer months, they enjoyed growing a garden together and Diane spent each fall caning the bounty of their labors. In her professional life, she worked as a receptionist for Minnesota Oncology and at senior living and nursing homes, where she found deep fulfillment in serving and supporting patients, offering kindness and comfort during some of their most difficult times and bringing a smile to all.
As Diane is enjoying her eternal reward in heaven today, we remember the beautiful legacy of love, faith and service through a special memory of her or that special handmade gift filled with loved.
