Doreen Charlotte Mechelke, age 87, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, September 6, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1937 in Amboy, Illinois. Doreen worked for a novelty store in Glen Flora and Rockwell Company in Ladysmith for many years. She was married to Billy Mechelke on May 15, 1975 in Glen Flora, WI. Doreen also cleaned the feed mill and helped her husband mow lawn for the Village of Tony, WI. She enjoyed babysitting, going to the casino, traveling, playing cards, gardening, and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Mechelke; 3 children, Jim (Carolyn) Reynolds, Andy Reynolds and Jeff (Patty) Reynolds; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; several half sisters and half brothers.

Private family services will be held at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
