Doris Jean Amendt, age 92, of Spooner, WI, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Shell Lake Health Care Center in Shell Lake, WI.

She was born on August 10, 1929 in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of Roy and Dolores (Dull) Weaver.

She was united in marriage to Karl Amendt on February 6, 1960 in Pine City, MN.

Doris had a passion for baking and was a baker for the Spooner Hospital and Spooner Bakery. She was also very creative enjoyed many types of crafts, especially sewing. Doris enjoyed spending time with her husband, Karl, often going out polka dancing or snowmobiling.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Willy Talbart) Christner of Webster, WI, Pamela (Lindsey) Monzon, Richard (Sharon) LaBounty of Las Vegas, NV and James K. Amendt of Spooner, WI; her grandchildren, Andy, Theresa, Bucky, Kim, Darrell, Angie, Richie, Rick, Karl, Sarah, Jericka, Andrew and Jared; many great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl; her children, Bev Kasparec and Faye Pfundheller; and her siblings, Doug, Mona, Betty, Honey and Millie.

Services will be announced in the spring.
