
In Memory of Doris E. Ganske
Doris Eilene Anderson Ganske, age 98, passed away at Barron Care & Rehab in Barron, Wisconsin. She was born on October 23, 1927, in Dallas, Wisconsin, to Willie and Tilda Anderson.
Doris was a devoted member of Chetek Lutheran Church and an active participant in the Hannah Circle. Her faith, kindness, and steady presence were felt deeply within her church community.
Doris first married Norman Bauer, and together they had three children. After their divorce, she later married Mitchel “Mike” Ganske on June 5, 1954, and they welcomed three more children into their family.
Doris is survived by her children: Dan Bauer of Kimball, MN; Mark and Michele Ganske of Rice Lake; Patti Ganske and Tom Stout of Ladysmith; and David and Jen Ganske of Trego. She is also survived by her daughters‑in‑law Diana Bauer, Nithaya and Mike Shirley; 16 grandchildren; 29 great‑grandchildren; and 3 great‑great‑grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchel “Mike” Ganske; daughter Judy Bauer; son Richard Bauer; her parents and grandparents; and three granddaughters: Bobbi Jo Davis, Patty McHugh and Lisa Ganniqan.
Visitation for Doris Ganske will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Chetek Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, where Doris will be laid to rest beside her husband, Mike Ganske. After the graveside service, fellowship and a luncheon will be held in the Lutheran Church Hall.
