AUGUST 29, 1928 - OCTOBER 18, 2017

Dorothy E. Neste, age 89, of Spooner, went to the Lord on October 18, 2017.  She was a resident of Maple Ridge Care Center.

Dorothy was born to parents Oscar and Agnes Johnson of Long Lake on June 29, 1928.  She married Louis Neste on November 4, 1949.  Dorothy loved children.  She taught school for 38 years, of these she taught in Spooner for 32 years.  Dorothy loved to garden.  She and her husband Louis owned a cabin on Dunn Lake and they spent the summers there taking care of the flowers and keeping the lawn beautiful.  They sold the cabin in 1998 and she spent her remaining years raising flowers at their home on Walter Street.  Dorothy loved to shop, but as age crept in she had to give that up.  Dorothy loved to attend Salem Lutheran Church every Sunday and share the faith with the congregation.

Dorothy is survived by her niece Esther and her nephew Dale.  She was preceded in death by her husband A. Louis Neste, her mother Agnes, and her father Oscar.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Salem Lutheran Church in Shell Lake, WI.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be held at a later at St. Luke's Cemetery Cemetery in Springbrook.

Memorials can be made to Salem Lutheran Church or the building fund for the Spooner Veterans Memorial.
