Douglas E. Briggs, age 77, of rural Chetek, WI died Sunday, November 9th, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 29th, 1948 at Rice Lake, WI & was raised in the Dallas area. He was Baptized & Confirmed at Dallas Lutheran Church & graduated from Barron High School in 1967. On December 13th, 1969, he was married to Jean Wiltgen at New Scandinavia Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Grove, rural Dallas.

Doug dairy farmed his entire life but also enjoyed hunting, fishing & trap shooting in his spare time. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, son: Darren & 1 niece. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his immediate family, Becky, Kord, Jonny, Kristen & Raelynn, brother: David Briggs & his family, as well as other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13th at Dallas Lutheran Church with Rev. Bruce Rimmereid officiating & interment following in the Dallas Cemetery. Visitation will be held for the hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
