 Our beloved Husband, father and grandfather Duane Arnold Berg, age 75, of Spooner was called to his Eternal Home on October 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born July 15, 1942, son of Clarence and Lucille (Channing) Berg.

Duane grew up on a farm in New Auburn, Wisconsin.  He graduated from New Auburn High School in 1960.  He furthered his education to become a journeyman electrician.  Duane was an electrician for 43 years.  He was also a member of IBEW Local 14.

Duane was an avid fisherman and deer hunter.  He enjoyed country living and loved the outdoors.  He loved to sit in his chair in front of the big window in the living room watching all the wildlife in his backyard.

Duane will be remembered for his genuine, friendly personality and caring ways for everyone.  He had a great sense of humor and could make everyday a good day.  He was a hardworking man and never complained about work.  Duane loved all of his family.  Family was very important to him.  He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they were a big part of his life.

Duane is survived by his wife Connie of 46 years, 4 sons and 1 daughter: Scott (Carolyn) Berg, Mark (Teri Volk) Berg, Matt Berg, Chad Berg and Lori (Pat) Paulson; 16 grandchildren: Marc Berg, Ben Berg, Alyssa (Mel) Kohls, Sadie (Zach) Schmidt, Harley (Betty) Goetsch, Alexis Berg, Jared Goetsch, Jordan Berg, Ethen Berg, Bailey Berg, Matthew Berg, Nikki Van Ness, Jake Van Ness, Thomas Odegard, Jeana Sprenger, and Logan Sprenger; 9 great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Landon, Oakley, Dylen, Gaven, Maysen, Klare, Kameron, and Callie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Duane was welcomed to Heaven by his parents Clarence and Lucille, brother Arden, sister-in-law Carol, nephew Steve, father-in-law Conrad, mother-in-law Mabel, and a very special daughter-in-law Tami Berg.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wesleyan Church, west on Hwy 70 in Spooner, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church.  Lunch will follow the service.
