In Memory of Edith M. Bentley


February 10, 1943 - July 12, 2024

Edith Marie Bentley, age 81, died Friday morning, July 12th, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children.

Edith was born February 10, 1943, to Walter and Irene (Vanark) Bentley in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Edith relocated to Hayward, WI in 1976 where she spent her life raising her six children. She was very passionate about her faith in God and believed her children were her greatest joy in life. She had a love for all of God’s creatures, enjoyed playing the violin in her younger years and gardening and painting later in life. She loved making people smile by being a florist and creating beautiful pieces of art through her flower arrangements.

She is survived by her six children, Heide (Bob) Schmidt of Hayward, Charles Nadelhoffer Jr. of Hayward, Heather (Michael) Hanna of Lynn Haven, Florida, Carrie Nadelhoffer of Hayward, Evonne Nadelhoffer (William Altig) of Trout Lake, Washington, and Nicolas (Erin) Nadelhoffer of Greendale, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren, Sam, Grace, Sidney, Ariana, Elisa, Isabella, Faith, Levi, Alexandria, Emmamae, Jack and Will and one great grandchild Gabriel. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Irene Bentley, her brothers Don, Kenny, Bobby, and Sonny. She is survived by her brothers Dick, Billy and sister Rene.

Final resting services will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish on Saturday, July 20th. Visitation from 10:30-11am. Mass at 11am with a lunch to follow in the church hall. Please send flowers and condolences to St. Joseph’s Church, PO Box 877, Hayward, WI 54843.
