In Memory of Edna L Kibble

August 23, 1940 - April 14, 2018

August 23, 1940 - April 14, 2018

Edna L. Kibble passed away in peace on Saturday, April 14th at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota surrounded by her family. Edna was born August 23rd, 1940 in Streater, Illinois to Willard and Doris (Lucille) Dent. Edna lived in Illinois until her parents moved to Minong, Wisconsin where she met Robert Kibble. He became her best friend and love of her life. They married on December 27th, 1966 in Superior, Wisconsin. Edna and Robert (Bob) owned and operated Sportsman's Headquarters with daughter Carolyn (Carol). Edna was a member of the Rebeccia's until the Rebeccia Lodge closed in Minong. Over the years they owned several other businesses. During her retirement, Edna enjoyed fishing, hunting, and her coffee group almost every morning at Wendy's with their close friends.

When Bob became ill, Edna cared for him until she needed help. Edna and Bob moved to South Dakota to live with their daughter Carolyn. Bob passed away November 16th, 2016 at the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Edna remained in South Dakota with her daughter, but her heart was in Minong, Wisconsin. Due to health problems, Edna wasn't able to return home other than to visit. She did get to enjoy three granddaughters getting married and the birth of her first great-granddaughter. She only wished Bob could have been there also at these happy events. She always loved being with her family, going to her granddaughters weddings, witnessing her great-granddaughter's birth, and going to family gatherings on holidays.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Carol) and Kenneth (Ken) Jorgensen of Centerville, South Dakota, four granddaughters, Lillian and Clay Kerner-Waggoner of Centerville, SD, Deana and J.T. Abrams of Waverly, FL., Jennifer and J.D. Jensen of Yankton, SD., and Kelly and Tim Oftedahl of Mitchell, SD, one great-granddaughter Arya Oftedahl, two brothers - George and Pam Dent of Baraboo, Wisconsin and Bill and Gale of LaCross, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Veleta (Vee) and brother-in-law Donald (Don) Kerley of Rockford, Illinois, and eleven other nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents Willard and Doris (Lucille) Dent, her mother and father-in-law Etta and Vernon Kibble, and her brother Willard (Bucky) Dent.
