
In Memory of Edwin J. Evenson
Edwin J. Evenson, age 70 of Deer Park, WI, died early on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, WI after a four-year battle with cancer.
Edwin John Evenson was born on August 15, 1955 in Amery, WI the son of LeMoyne & Mabel (Zellmer) Evenson. He grew up on the family farm in Deer Park, WI and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church there. Ed attended Clear Lake Schools and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1973.
After graduating, Ed drove truck and made deliveries for UBC Lumber Company in Clear Lake. He later began working as a mechanic and over the years was employed by Jim Witthoft Auto Body, RVS in Clear Lake, Somsen Oil Company and for Jay Christensen at Clear Lake Auto.
During all this time, Ed would also on occasion drive gravel truck for Gehrman’s Construction Company. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed buying & restoring old tractors and hit and miss engines often fabricating parts that could no longer be found. He liked being with people, playing cards, throwing darts and pitching horseshoes at Decosse’s in Deer Park.
Ed took care of his parents toward the end of their lives, and he enjoyed hunting but prefered tending to the stove for when the others returned from the hunt. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He proceeded in death by his parents LeMoyne & Mabel Evenson.
He is survived by: Brother - Irvin (Candy) Evenson - Osceola, WI
Nephews: Jason (Margie) Evenson - Luck, WI, Christopher (Michelle) Evenson - Deer Park, WI
Grand Nieces & Nephews: MacKenzie, Landon, Alex, Kaylee & Kiana
A Celebration of Ed’s life will be on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 3-6 pm at the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI.
A Private Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, WI.
