Elaine "Lainey" Gorrence, 74, of Cumberland died Friday, November 10, 2023, at Cumberland Healthcare.

She was born June 6, 1949, in Delbarton, West Virginia to Henry J and Ruby (Kirk) Smith, Jr. She was married in Cumberland, WI on May 16, 1981, to Donald Gorrence who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a family of great friends and distant relatives. Lainey was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gorrence; two daughters, Karen Sue King and Peggy Ann King; her parents: Henry J. Smith, Jr., & Ruby and Ance Hatfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 17, 2023, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland. Pallbearers are Jose Amaya, Grant Dockendorf, Tom Ritzinger, Jason Miloszewicz, Quinn Larson, and Dalton Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Hulleman, Randy Whittman, Gary Matthias, Al Larson, Steve Anderson, and Perry Gabriel. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland, and from 1-2 PM Friday, November 17, 2023.
