Elizabeth “Betty” Hahn, age 90, a resident of Spooner, died on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Maple Ridge Care Center.

Elizabeth Louise Saint was born on July 31, 1926, in Eldora, Iowa to parents Ray and Martha (Balvance) Saint.  She grew up on the family farm in Hardin County, Iowa and on July 3, 1946, was united in marriage to Arthur “Bill” Hahn in Iowa Falls, Iowa.  Betty worked for a wholesale candy company, Institutional Foods, in the packaging department until she retired in 1983 to stay home to take care of her Mother. After their marriage, the couple lived in Iowa Falls for a time before moving to Waterloo, Iowa where they would reside until Bill’s retirement in 1986, when they moved to their home in Evergreen Township.  After their move to the Town of Evergreen, Betty worked at the C& R Store, and also provided house cleaning in the area.  Betty remained at her home after Bill’s death in 1999, up until this past October when her health necessitated her move to Maple Ridge. 

Betty is survived by her adopted family of Marcy (Rick) Bradway of Spooner, and their family- daughter Linnet (Rob) Bullen and grandchildren Gwen and Malcolm all of Orlando, FL, sisters in law: Katherine Saint and Arlene Hahn, and a host of extended family and friends. 

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband “Bill”, brother Charles Saint, sisters: Helen Young and Ruth Davis, 2 brothers in law and 4 sisters in law.

At Betty’s request, no public services will be held.  A private graveside will be held at the Rocky Ridge Cemetery at a later date with Pastor Brent Berkesch officiating. Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice - Spooner.  Spooner Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements and online condolences may be left at www.bratley-nelsonchapels.com
