Erling Russell Voss, 78, passed away on July 25, 2026. Erling was born on March 22, 1948, in Frederic, WI, to Russell and Lois (Mattson) Voss.

Erling lived his entire life in the Milltown, WI area. He graduated from Unity High School in 1966. After graduation, he began working for Holiday Station Stores and was employed by them until he left in 1977 to work in the insurance business with his Dad.

In the mid 1990’s, Erling began working for America West Airlines at MSP Airport. He enjoyed this job and co-workers until he retired around 2012.

Erling loved spending time on Half Moon Lake, water skiing and tubing behind his red boat. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Also, near and dear to his heart were his pets, especially his last dog Allie.

He is survived by his sister Cheryl (Mike) Peper and brother Ronn (Paula) Voss, his niece and nephews; Joell (Ken), Jay and Bill, his great-nieces and great-nephews and his cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Russ and Lois, his grandparents, his aunts, his uncles and two cousins.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Erling’s life on August 22, 2026. Please join us at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria, WI. The visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 11am. A lunch will be served immediately following the service. Burial will be after lunch at the Milltown Cemetery.
