In Memory of Erving G. Doty Jr.


November 17, 1935 - October 27, 2023

Erving Glen Doty, Jr. passed away peacefully on October 27th at Eagle Ridge Senior Living in Osceola, Wisconsin. He has joined his Wife Betty, his parents, and family that have gone before him.

Erving was born on November 17, 1935, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Erving married his loving wife, Betty, on September 4, 1954, in Dresser, Wisconsin and together they enjoyed 68 years of marriage.

Erving was an electrician and owned and operated a successful business for many years.

Erving was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He had an extensive collection of fishing lures and equipment and loved to share his fishing stories, especially with his grandchildren. He also loved hunting in the Barrens with his family. He was fortunate enough to fish and hunt often in Canada. He and Betty’s last hurrah was a two-month trip to Alaska. He would grin from ear to ear when he spoke about it.

He is survived by his children, Ron (Rose) Doty, Don (Lisa) Doty, Barb Doty and Dave (Jean) Doty; grandchildren Travis “Wally” (Carmie) Olson, Sam Doty, Trevor Olson, Ben (Kate) Doty, Kristina (Eric) Stenson, James Doty, Amanda (Jim) Daniel, Megan Leoni, Amy (Derrick) Retz, Jacob (Natalia) Doty, Madeline (Zach) Erickson, David (Katelyn) Doty, Jr., Philip Doty; many greatgrandchildren; brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters and sisters-in-law Carol Montpetit, Connie Cox, Dennis (Jeanne) Doty, Elverna Moyer, Jim (Betty) Boatman, Bonnie (Jack) Luzinski, Mary Colbenson, Sam (Barb) Boatman.

A Celebration of Life for Erv will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, beginning at 3:00 P.M. at the Cushing Community Center. 2510 241st Street, Cushing, WI 54006.

Memorials to the Parkinson’s Foundation are preferred by the family.

The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
