Evelyn June Engdahl, age 91 of North Branch, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at her home.

Evelyn was born on January 30, 1933 in Sarona, Wisconsin to Herman and Ella (Huebner) Fenner. She graduated from North Branch High School in 1951. Soon afterwards she worked at Dalen’s Food Store in Cambridge, Minnesota as a checkout person. Evelyn also worked at the Twin City Arsenal in New Brighton, Minnesota, and at the North Branch Review Newspaper office.

She married her ever-loving Art Engdahl on July 2, 1952. She loved people and was active in many community activities including teaching Sunday School for over 40 years. She loved little children and directed the Sunshine Choir at Spring Lake Lutheran and Circle Chairman.

Her family, church family, and her strong faith sustained her all her life. Home was her refuge. Art and Evelyn were very blessed with a wonderful family and were able to travel to many countries and most of the US, which they enjoyed. Evelyn loved to entertain and visit with people. She loved to talk.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Arthur C. Engdahl; her parents Herman and Ella Fenner; her siblings Harold Fenner, Vernon Fenner, Herman Fenner, Robert Fenner, Florence Ranny, Dorothy Juza, Mildred Meerstein, and Marge Thill.

She is survived by her children Jerry (Jana) Engdahl, Becky (Ivan) Rodenborg, and Barry (Diana) Engdahl; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings James (Luella) Fenner, Ruby Stronsky, and Alice Sherman; and many other relatives and friends.
