April 25, 1935 - May 3, 2026

Floyd R. Springer, 91, of Balsam Lake, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Willow Ridge in Amery, Wisconsin. Floyd was born on April 25, 1935, in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, to John and Mary Springer.

Floyd's Journey on the family farm was marked by hard work and devotion, until destiny brought him to Denise, his future wife. November 15, 1980, marked the start of a new beginning for them and their son Steven. The couple welcomed their daughter, Ann, on March 20, 1981.

Floyd's kitchen table transformed over time into a communal spot where people would assemble, always having a cup of coffee and cookies, as it became a site for storytelling, memory-making, decision-making discussions, and the sharing of hunting tales big or small.

Floyd is survived by his daughter, Ann (Kevin) Springer, Amery, WI; grandchildren, Star Maxwell, Elaina Maxwell, KayAnna Miller, McKayla Miller, and Sterling Miller; nieces, Linda Anderson and Betty Worthington; great nephew, Joe Anderson; special friend of the family, Carel Larsen; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary, brothers, John, Russell, Paul, and Merilin, sisters, Lorenda Springer, Elizabeth McGuffey, and Rosella Born.
