Gary Laurence Sampson, age 70, of Birchwood, WI, died Friday, December 26, 2025 in the Township of Edgewater, WI. He was born on June 22, 1955 in Ladysmith, WI to Paul and Phyllis (Whitney) Sampson.

Gary graduated from Winter High School in 1973. He was married to Susan Christianson on October 27, 1973 in Stone Lake, WI. Gary worked for Birchwood Lumber and Veneer and the Township of Edgewater for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, having a good drink, mowing the lawn, cutting wood and being outdoors

He loved to listen to music, played in a band and played the guitar. He was a hard worker, a handyman, a car fanatic, his family and friends met the world to him, and loved 2 favorite dogs, Molli and Little Girl.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Sampson; 2 children, Becky Sampson (Jeremy Eichelt) and Mark (Crystal) Sampson; a grandson, Brady (Alana) Sampson; 2 step grandchildren, Dayne and Zofia Kintop; a brother, Scott (Donna) Sampson; 4 sisters, Paula (David) Reichel, Dawn Glenn, Cindy (Doug) Hoffmann, LuAnne (Kenny) Campbell; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sampson, and Phyllis (Arnold) Malecha. Private family services will be held.
