Gary William Ladd, 69, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 7th, 2026. He was born June 17th, 1957 in Milwaukee, WI to William Jr. and Marilyn Ladd.

Gary married Diane Rahn on June 6th, 1980.

He worked at 3M, was in the National Guard for six years; and then owned and operated Lakeside Auto Salvage. He later became a semi truck driver for a few different companies, most recently at TSU.

Gary's hobbies included racing race cars and racing with his son, truck-pulling, snowmobiling, riding motorcycle, trips to the casino, and hanging out with friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 46 years, Diane Ladd; son, Andy (Stacy), daughter, Christina; grandchildren, Sarah (Jordan), Jennifer (Joey), Laina and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Jamison, Jaxon, and Jocelyn; brother, Randy (Pam); brothers-in-law, Gary Jr. (Sharai), Jim (Mary); sisters-in-law, Carol (Ron) and Debbie (Richard); nieces, Jackie and Pattie Ladd; the Greb family - Sue, Gary, Pam, Tim, Scott; adopted son, Jeff; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and “all the troublemakers”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr. and Marilyn; brothers, Ronnie, and Larry Ladd; his grandparents, and step father, Erv Greb.

A visitation in honor of Gary will be held from 5 PM - 8 PM on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland.
