It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Georgia Maxine Heyer Leverty, the life of the party, age 90, on April 20, 2025. Georgia was born on September 17, 1934, to George and Ione Heyer. Georgia passed in her home surrounded by loved ones.

A devoted partner, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who cherished cultivating relationships. Never one to shy away from a loving touch of the hand, or a hearty laugh at life’s twists and turns, she will be forever missed. Georgia was born in Barron, WI and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1952. With her family she managed a dairy farm in Range, worked at the Shell Lake Hospital, as well as the local bakery, and completed her career as a receptionist with Peterson Fiberglass. Her lifelong commitment to bowling meant she became the first woman to bowl at the Wisconsin State USBC Woman’s tournament for an initial record of 50 years, and then broke that record on April 4, 2025, achieving 60 years of participation. Georgia was a quilter, pouring love into making many quilts for grandchildren and newborns. She enjoyed traveling and camping and took many trips with her family members. Her daily walks included making connections with friends along the route. She attended many athletic events cheering on her grandchildren, but her true passion as a fan included attending Wrigley Field to watch “her” Chicago Cubs. Georgia’s boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her children.

She leaves behind her partner, Dean Soderberg; her children, Steve (Linda) Leverty, Bradley Leverty, Jacqueline Leverty-Greenhow (Butch Greenhow), Michael (Shelli) Leverty, Teresa (Ron) Greenhow, and Sean Leverty (Michael Rennick); her brother, Denis (Vicki) Heyer and many grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.
