Gerald “Gary” Lawrence Schumann, age 93, of Birchwood, WI, died Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Rice Lake, WI.

He was born on September 23, 1931 in Rice Lake to Raymond and Hazel (Eby) Schumann. Gary entered the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict in Alaska and was later Honorably Discharged. He was a dairy and beef farmer for many years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, camping and going 4 wheeling.

He is survived by 5 sisters, Janice Hanson, Darlene Downey, Sharon Johnson, Mary Schumann and Donna Schumann; a niece, Stephanie Culver and a nephew, James Schumann. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Schumann; a brother, Robert Schumann; a sister, Virginia Darrow; a brother-in-law, Delbert Hanson.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon, February 12, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, with interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood, WI.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
