Gerald "Jerry" Walter Plantz, 69, of Ladysmith, passed away on August 4, 2024, at his home.

Jerry is survived by his wife Margie. His sisters: Bonnie Stream of Clayton, WI; Sharon (Larry) Trussoni of Genoa, WI; Judith Plantz of East Lansing, MI; Carol (Eric) Hillan of Ladysmith, WI; brother: Donald (Jody) of East Lansing, MI; and sister: Rebecca Plantz of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Sheri, Scott, Cindy, Mallory, Kevin, Kelly, Justin, Evan, William, Jason, Ben, and Emma; and great nephews: Seth, Ben, Josh, Tacoma, Joseph, William, and Michael. Margie’s aunt: Joyce Brewer, Boyd, WI; sisters: Barbara (Bill) Nelson, Stanley, WI; Kathleen (Richard) Lawcewicz, Lublin, WI; and Christine (Darrell) Hoffman, Bruce, WI. Margie’s children: Shane (Jennifer) Rogers, Crown Point, Indiana; Krystle (Tony) Christianson, Oshkosh, WI; Heather (Joseph) Check, Pewaukee, WI; and Jacob (friend Rosie) Setzer, Eau Claire, WI. He is also survived by Margie’s 13 grandchildren and by many lifelong friends who are considered an extension of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Betty (Drum) Plantz; his brother, Charles; his nephew Clayton; and his grandparents. He lost many friends along the way, and we are sure they have “Gone Fishin”.

A Celebration of Life with family & friends is planned for August 10 at his home. Pastor Tim Jerry from the Living Faith Church, Exeland, WI will be present and offer a short service.
