In Memory of Gerald Osborne
Gerald Osborne, 82, of Spooner, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Indianhead Medical Center in Shell Lake, Wisconsin.
Gerald was born in Mason City, Iowa to Marvin and Alice Osborne on June 29, 1937. He married Sharen Bailey on September 27, 1958 in Spooner. They moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin where he worked at American Motors until they moved back to Spooner where he owned and operated Northern Auto with his father before working as a Washburn County Deputy Sheriff for 27 years. Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gerald is survived by his wife Sharen, daughter Teresa, son Thad (JoJo), daughter Tammy, former daughter-in-law Jane (Chuck) Borg, brother Gordon “Butch”, sister Elaine, grandchildren Rachel (Brandon), Amy (Matt), David (Mary), Heather (Joe) , Amanda, Carrie (Brandon), “adopted” grandson Josh, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Karen (DeLoy), Ginny, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gerald was preceded in death by both parents, his father and mother-in-law, his brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, an infant granddaughter, and two nieces.
The family of Gerald wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Allan Haesenmeyer and hospital staff at Indianhead Medical Center.
The funeral services for Gerald will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Spooner with Father Dave Bauer officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service and luncheon will follow. Arrangements were entrusted to The Spooner Funeral Home.
