Gerald “Jerry” Traczyk Sr., age 65, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at his residence in Hayward, WI.

He was born on July 8, 1957 in (place of birth) the son of Frank and Betty (Talo) Traczyk Sr.

Jerry worked for Arclin in Hayward in electrical and process management for over 32 years.

He was very proud of the work they did there, and the many friendships developed with his co-workers over the years. Jerry was a true gearhead who loved restored cars, especially ones that stayed true to their classic roots. His pride and joy was his 1966 Ford Mustang, a car his kids accused of him loving more than them. Jerry enjoyed rock music, a good campfire, and gatherings with good people. His love for rock music and his good ears led to him running sound for several local bands and he loved travelling to Rockfest every year. Jerry was the ultimate Green Bay Packers fan, and his home was a landmark in the fall with Jerry’s big green “G” lit up on the side facing Highway 63.

He is survived by his children, Stacy (Steve) Johnson of Prescott, AZ, Gerald Traczyk Jr. Hayward, WI, Paul (Cassie) Traczyk of Minong, WI, and April (Jake Bell) Traczyk of Graham, NC; his grandchildren, Carissa Hintz, Riley Bell, and Alek Traczyk; his brothers, Dave (Gerry) Traczyk of Hurley, WI and Frank (Maryanne) Traczyk Jr. of Park City, UT; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Cathy.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Hayward Funeral Home, 15571 W County Highway B in Hayward. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Mary Cemetery in Hurley, WI.
