Gordon Harvey Beckstrom, age 76, of Rice Lake, WI, died Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI. He was born on April 26, 1950 in Rice Lake, WI to Harvey and Helen (Erb) Beckstrom.

Gordy graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1968 and then he attended WITC and received a degree in Architectural Drafting. He was married to Deborah “Debby” Lorentz on September 3, 1983 in Campia, WI.

Gordy was a dairy farmer, worked for Harmon Contract in Florida installing glass on skyscrapers, was a landscaper, and then McCain Foods in Rice Lake. He loved eating sweets, metal detecting, collecting rocks and gems, hunting for agates, hunting, fishing, camping in the Boundary Waters. He enjoyed attending Rock and Mineral Shows, and watching soccer and comedy shows. He was generous, caring, resilient, easy going, a great sense of humor, and was a true character.

He is survived by his 4 children, Ed (Debi) Huebsch, Ron Lampton, Jeannie Wiley and Christina (Josh) Burkhart; 12 grandchildren, Stephen, Ryan, Christine, Sarah, Joshua, Aaron, Lee, Briana (Luis), Jason, Nevaeh, Colleen and Dakota; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Peggy) Beckstrom; a sister, Marie Beckstrom (Bonnie); many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Helen Beckstrom; and 2 grandsons, Timothy and Matthew.

uneral Services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM Wednesday, July 15 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family.
