Hattie Belle (McManus) Grensing, age 86, of Barron went to be with her heavenly Father on July 7, 2026 at Barron Mayo Hospital.

She was born November 20, 1939 in Cameron to James Earl McManus and Mary Ada Chambers. She married Glenn Grensing on January 4, 1958 in Barron. She became a devoted wife and mother of 5 “all girls”.

She enjoyed baking, the peanut butter bars were a big hit for David and Dylan; giant oatmeal raisin cookies with lots of nuts for her sister, Joy and homemade bread for sister, Leila. There was also brother, Jere who people thought they were twins because his hair was just as long and curly as hers. She also enjoyed sewing, canning, helping her husband with the lawn, gardening and watching the Brewers. She would be watching the Brewers and she would be yelling at the TV, supporting her team like she was at the stadium.

She was a wonderful woman of God who loved her Lord and Savior. Hattie trusted the Lord to carry her through all the things she had to go through and he did. She would say “he brought me this far and he won’t quit on me now”. She loved animals, mostly a service dog named Lukus would visit often. She would talk to him on the phone and he would be looking out the door for her.

She loved her family and friends and they all loved her.

Hattie is survived by her husband, Glenn of Barron; daughters, Patsy Staves of Prairie Farm, Marie (David) Covelski and Sharon Denman, both of White Bear Lake, MN, Carol (Larry) Latham of Rice Lake and Pamela Currans of Cumberland; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Jere McManus of Texas, as well as sisters, Lelia Mehus of Waterloo, IA and Joy (Richard) Workman of Barron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Glenn Dale, Jr., son-in-law, Rolland Staves; grandson, Brandon Staves; half-brothers, Ned Dorsey and Charles Dorsey.

A funeral service for Hattie will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Foursquare Gospel Church in Barron. Visitation will be held form 11:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church before the service. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
