Helen M. McCourt died Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the age of 100, at her residence in Dresser, Wisconsin.

Helen was born on October 22, 1924 in Alden Township to Emil and Lydia (Foss) Swenson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She was united in marriage to Kenneth McCourt on June 1, 1946 and to this union had three sons: David, John, and Thomas.

Helen graduated from Osceola High School. Following graduation, she attended the Polk County Normal and UW River Falls. She taught grade school and was Program Director of the Polk County Adult Development Center for 23 years. She taught Sunday School and Bible School for several years, and was also a member of the Ladies Willing Workers Aid.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Kenneth; two sons, David and John; brothers Leonard, Ervin, and Earl Swenson; sisters, Lois Krassas, Grace Isaacson, and Carolyn Harschmann.

She is survived by her son, Thomas McCourt; grandsons Andy (Kirsten) Swenson and John Swenson; and many other extended family members, and friends.

Memorial service for Helen will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Dresser, WI. Visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow at Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery.
