In Memory of Henrietta M. Swager


February 17, 1931 - June 14, 2024

Henrietta Swager, 93, of Amery, WI was called to heaven on Friday, June 14, 2024 while at The Estates At Bloomington nursing home in Bloomington, MN.

Henrietta was born on February 17, 1931 to Joseph and Cora Lehmann. She grew up in Centuria, WI and attended Unity schools. On May 4, 1950, she married Bernard Swager and they had 4 children. They originally started out as farmers and transitioned to factory work early in their marriage. They worked in many local factories including Northern Metal and Polaris. After Henrietta retired, she kept busy working as a greeter in the St. Croix Falls Walmart for over a decade.

Henrietta was always filled with love, energy, and rarely stood still. Aside from being heavily involved with her family, she spent a lot of time with friends helping anyone she could with a multitude of projects from sewing hunting clothes, reupholstering furniture and cars, to cooking family dinners on Sundays while family played cards. Most of her projects revolved around sewing as that was one of her biggest passions in life. She was also a very devoted Lutheran and spent a great deal of time at the church and was always there for anyone in times of need.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bernard; her son, Joseph Swager; her daughter, Judy Sherrard; her parents, Joseph and Cora Lehman; granddaughter, LeAnn Greeley; great-granddaughter, Coral Jo Sherrard; great-grandson, Kyzer Dixon; brothers, Charles, Joseph Jr., George, Lester, Ray, Donnie; and sisters, Gladys, Lenora and infant sister.

She is survived by her son, Steve Swager; daughter, Bern (Carol) Swager; grandsons, Bradley (Kit) Swager, Steven (Shelby) Swager, Joshua (September) Swager; granddaughters, Lisa (Gary) Frenette, Lori Jo Sherrard, Tiffany Swager; great-grandchildren, Jenna Frenette, Kathryn (Donavan) Dixon, Breana Frenette, Sarah Swager, Brandi Swager, Weston Facchinni, Jaxson Facchinni, Donavan Lundgen, Damion Greeley, Destiny Greeley, Treavor Sherrard, Trinity Sherrard, Carson Swager, Colton Swager, and Clayton Swager; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ervin (Jan) Lehman and Marvin (Tubby) Lehman; and sisters, Carol Swointek and Dorothy (Pete) Flatum.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI. The funeral service will be at Balsam Lutheran Church on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11:00 am with a visitation beginning an hour prior to the service at the church. Following the service, interment will take place at Balsam Lake Cemetery.
