In Memory of Irene Lindberg
Irene M. Lindberg, 94, of Spooner, WI passed away Monday, February 14th, 2022 at Essentia Health – Miller Dwan in Duluth, MN.
A lifelong resident of Spooner, WI, Irene was born on December 4, 1927, the daughter of William and Mary (McNeil) Rand.
Irene worked as a secretary in different offices in Spooner as well as being a homemaker. A member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, she volunteered with the Ladies Circle for many years. She also volunteered around the community with the local election board, blood bank drives, Spooner Library, Washburn County Food Bank, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed square dancing with the Northern Star Square Dance Club as well as camping and traveling.
Irene was joined in marriage to Ervin W. Lindberg Jr. in 1948. They had four children.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Ervin and son Paul S.
She is survived by her children; Mary Lu of Spooner, James of Chippewa Falls, William (Cathy) of Bosque Farms, NM; grandchildren: John, Paul, Gregory, Aster, Megan (Erik) Haugen; brother-n-law Wallace Koel; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 P.M. on March 12 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner, Wisconsin, Father Phil Juza officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spooner Memorial Library or Washburn County Food Bank.
