In Memory of Irma Arendt


April 4, 1930 - December 2, 2020

Irma Irene Arendt, age 90, of Cozy Corner passed away December 2, 2020 at Burnett Medical Center Continuing Care in Grantsburg, WI.

Irma was born April 4th, 1930 in Burnett County to Oscar and Lu Simonson. She was a graduate of Webster High School 1947. She was united in marriage to Ed Arendt on May 15, 1948.

Irma worked for the Webster School District for 35 years. She cooked at the Dairyland School and watched generations of kids pass through her lunch line. After retirement she worked part time at Wayne’s grocery store in Danbury and enjoyed visiting with all the customers. Irma enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, knitting, crocheting, baking and spending time with her family and friends.

Irma was preceded in death by her son, Randy; husband, Ed; parents; sister, Mildred and brother-in-law Henry, and son-in-law Donnie Erickson

Irma is survived by son, Doug Arendt, daughters Kay (John) Stelsel, and Bea Erickson; her grandchildren, Angela Vanguilder, Tony (Tiffany) Stelsel, and Rindy and Kimberly Erickson; her great grandchildren, Olivia and Megan Buskirk, Haylee and Jaycee Olson, Randal and Ryker Stelsel; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster with Pastor Danny Proffit officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Blaine Township. Pallbearers were Barry Wilson, Kelly Buskirk, Eugene Sikorski, Steve Holmstrom, Ray Sandstrom, and Danny Proffit. Honorary pallbearers were her great grandchildren Olivia, Megan, Haylee, Jaycee, Randal and Ryker.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
