In Memory of James G. Dittmar Jr.
**In Loving Memory of James George Dittmar Jr.**
James George Dittmar Jr., affectionately known as "Jimmy," departed from this world on May 1, 2025, at the age of 52, after a courageous battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Surrounded by love, he took his final breaths at home in Danbury, with his beloved son, “Woody” Forest, by his side.
Born on May 6, 1972, in Waconia, Minnesota, Jimmy made a grand entrance into life—ass backwards, as he often humorously recounted. He grew up in the spirited community of Webster, Wisconsin, where he forged lasting memories. A proud graduate of Webster High School, he found his footing in Burnett County, where he would plant deep roots.
Embarking on a journey of creativity and craftsmanship, Jimmy established "Old School Construction," a business reflective of his diverse skills and resourcefulness. A jack of all trades, he was equally at home in demolition as he was in construction and remodeling, embodying the essence of his trade with pride. His heart beat for the great outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or simply relishing the tranquil expanses of his cherished 10 acres, home to horses and wolf hybrids.
Jimmy leaves behind a tapestry of love woven with cherished family ties: his son Forest (Woody) Erickson-Dittmar, mother Kathleen Ann Dittmar, and sisters Heidi Dumas (Mark) and Heather (Clint Bonniwell). He is also survived by a constellation of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and the embrace of extended family who will forever cherish his memory.
Preceded in death by his father, James George Dittmar Sr., his wife, Tamara Inez Erickson-Dittmar, and father-in-law, Robert (Bob) Erickson, Jimmy's legacy remains vibrant amongst those he leaves behind.
A celebration of his life is set to take place on Saturday, May 10th, from 1 PM to 4 PM, at Kathy Dittmars, located at 7650 North Bass Lake Road in Webster, Wisconsin. All are welcome to share in the joy of his memory and the stories that defined his extraordinary life.
Though he has departed this earthly realm, the spirit of Jimmy Dittmar—his laughter, his passions, and the love he cultivated—will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
