In Memory of James “Jim” D. Greiner

July 7, 1965 - August 1, 2026

James “Jim” Dale Greiner, age 61, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, August 1, 2026 in Rochester, MN. He was born on July 7, 1965 in Rice Lake to Arthur and Doris (Campbell) Greiner.

Jim graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1984. He worked for Greiner Transport and stayed in trucking during his lifetime and then also worked for MSSI taking care of their properties as their property management. Jim loved 4 things in life - God, family, work and hunting. He was bigger than life.

Jim was someone who always made it a priority to stay involved in everyone’s life, no matter how busy things got. Jim was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. He was always willing to help, always caring, and simply one of the best people you could ever know.

Jim touched so many lives through his kindness, generosity, and genuine love for others. He was a believer in Christ. He will now be reunited with his parents, his brother and all other loved ones who have gone before him. Scripture reminds us that this life is temporary and that God’s plan for us extends beyond this world into eternity with Him.

Jim is in God’s presence, free from pain, sorrow and suffering, experiencing a joy and peace beyond anything we can imagine. We will miss him deeply, but we are grateful for the memories, the love, and the example you left behind. Your legacy lives on in all of us who were blessed to know you.

He is survived by his fiancee, Jill Anderson and her daughters, Tora (Shayne) Kucko and her family and Tiffany (John) Janisch and her family; 3 sons, Justin Greiner, Josh Greiner (Heidi) and Jeremy Greiner (Megan); 4 sisters, Cindy (Danny) MacDonald, Sue Pisa, Peggy (Ron) Wallin and Mary (Randy) Nelson; a brother, Steven Greiner (Carolyn Mickelson); many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Doris Greiner; a brother, Bill Greiner; and a brother-in-law, Mike Pisa.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Cousin’s Restaurant in Haugen, WI from Noon-4PM.
