Jamie Jane Maloney passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 67, in Marshfield, WI. True to her wit, she left us early enough "to avoid having to make a decision in the pending presidential election."

Jamie was born on February 13, 1957 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Jamie was a talented musician, comedian, and loyal friend. She was not only a passionate artist but also an avid weapons collector and a skilled martial artist.

Among the many "jobs" she held in her adventurous life, she was particularly proud of her role as a bodyguard—a position she spoke of frequently and with pride. Jamie was a fierce feminist and an unwavering advocate for women’s rights and LGBTQ equality. She tirelessly pursued her vision of a more inclusive world, one where everyone could live authentically and with dignity. Her heart was always with her partner, Claudia, who passed away several years before her. Their love was unbreakable, and now, Jamie and Claudia are together once again.

Jamie is survived by many friends and acquaintances, all fortunate enough to have experienced her talent, kindness, and joy.

A private ceremony will be held with friends and caregivers. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin is serving and assisting the family with the arrangements.
