Jane Marion Fritsche, 89, longtime resident of Turtle Lake, passed on Monday, May 31, 2022.

She was born in Luck, WI on November 25, 1932 to Walter and Ida (Friedrick) Kuenkel.

Jane graduated from Milltown HS, and on December 1, 1956 married Robert Fritsche in Bayport, MN. They lived on the family farm for the next twenty years before moving to Turtle Lake where she worked for Hartzell's Manufacturing. She was a collector of rooster related decor and enjoyed roller skating, reading, and puzzle books. She was a committed member of her church and learned to play the organ 'by ear'.

Jane is survived by her daughter: Laurie (Lee Shehow) Fritsche; son: Chad Fritsche; sister: Ila (Clarence) Chapman; sister-in-law: Lorraine Hansen; granddaughters: Nicole (Parker) Donley and Randi Fritsche; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Hannah, and Payton Donley; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Ida Kuenkel; husband: Robert Fritsche: son: Owen Fritsche; sister: Joyce Liermann; and brothers: Earl Kuenkel and Glenn Kuenkel.

Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
