In Memory of Jane R. Anderson
Jane Rae (Allen) Anderson, 82, died at her home, after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. Hospice has been a tremendous help and it couldn't have been done without them.
She was born August 10, 1941, as the only child of Ray and Lillian (Prior) Allen of Ortonville, MN. She grew up east of Ortonville and attended country grade school. She graduated from Ortonville High School in 1959.
After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis and began working at Northwest National Bank. It was while living there, in a house with five other girls, one of those girls set her up on a blind date with her future husband, David (Duffy) Anderson, who was also working in the Cities. They were married December 2, 1961 in Pine City, MN.
They eventually moved back to the Barron area, where she began working at the Barron Hospital as a CNA for 28 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, with her flowers, and reading; and always had a love for her special kitties throughout the years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Barron. She was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, David (Duffy) Anderson; one daughter, Kimberly; and one grandson, Jacob; and several long-time special friends.
She was preceded in death by their premature infant son, Scott; her parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Barron. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. A luncheon at the church will be held after service.
Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
