Janet Marlene Ingalls, age 87, of Webster, Wisconsin, passed away at home on July 26, 2026.

Janet was born on July 21, 1939, in Frederic, WI, to the late Ludwig and Doris (Morton) Rachner. She attended Webster High School and graduated with the Class of 1957. On February 14, 1959, she was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Lowell Ingalls, at this same church. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion.

Janet was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Raymond Rachner; her nephew, Daniel Ingalls; and her niece, Karlynn Johnson.

She is lovingly survived by her husband of 67 years, Lowell; her children, Douglas (Cathy) Ingalls, Steven (Karla) Ingalls, and Cheryl Ingalls; her grandchildren, Susan (Ross) Tollander and Kevin (Katie) Ingalls; and her great-grandchildren, Dane and Reid Tollander. Brother, Darrel (JoAnn) Rachner; sisters, Diane (Nels) Koerper and Marna (Wyman) Johnson. Sisters-in-law: Sharon Rachner, Adeline Ingalls and Violet Ingalls; special cousin, Doris Ann McCarty; nephews and nieces. Janet's greatest joy in life was her family. She found deep happiness in spending time together, creating memories, and passing down her love, strength, and values through the generations.

Janet had a special passion for gardening and took great pride in her beautiful flower gardens. For several years, she worked planting trees for the forestry service. Whether tending to her blooms or gathering with loved ones, Janet's gentle spirit and caring nature were always evident. Her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, at Grace United Methodist Church in Webster, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the service.

Janet will be remembered for the love she so freely gave, the family she cherished above all else, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
