In Memory of Jerry A. Anderson

Jerry Arnold Anderson, 87, of Cushing Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19th, 2022.

He is reunited in Heaven with his bride of 57 years, Mary Lou, and was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Duaine (Nancy) and Wally (Vonnie) Anderson. Jerry will be missed by many, especially his brother, Lawrence (Connie), children, Scott Anderson, Sandy Sablak (Randy Quarberg), Sue (Dave) Woodford, grandchildren, Rachael (Marc) Laurion, Jessie (Gabe) Sperl, Lisa (Andrew) Desmond, Jay Anderson, Christopher Horst (Alyssa Skar), Jennifer Horst, Jared Anderson, Paul Woodford, and four great-grandsons, Luke Desmond, MacGregor Laurion, Zach Desmond, and Louie Sperl.

Jerry was born on June 26th, 1935, in Grantsburg Wisconsin to Morris and Eunice Anderson. The youngest of four sons, he grew up farming and enjoyed baseball, hockey, and football. He spent many years hunting with his brothers and nephews, and loved ice fishing.

Jerry met Mary Lou at a roller skating rink and they soon fell in love. They sent letters while Jerry was overseas serving in the Army, and were married on October 26th, 1957. While building their family, they settled in South St. Paul, MN where Jerry worked for Swift & Company and as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He had an admirable work ethic and also did cement work, roofing, and hauled soda for Viking Beverage.

His friends and family will remember him for his dedication and love, and his jovial spirit. Raise a glass of old Milwaukee and join us in Cushing Wisconsin this summer as we celebrate Jerry’s life (date and time to be determined).

Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Afton Care and Prelude Homes in Woodbury.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home in Luck.
