Jerry Ferr, age 90, of Rice Lake, WI, formerly of Tony, WI, died of cancer, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with his family by his side at his home. He was born on October 16, 1935 to Joseph and Helen (Cap) Ferr.

Jerry graduated from Tony High School in 1953 and was married to Marjorie Kunkel on June 1, 1957.

Jerry was proud to have served his country in the Army National Guard and the United States Air Force. His inquisitive mind never stopped learning new things, which he was always willing to share his knowledge and skills with others.

Jerry’s passions were computers, the stock market, and working with wood, where he did everything from building houses to turning beautiful objects on his wood lathe.

Jerry was a wonderful husband and father. He was very intelligent, a good provider and partner, and a very loving man.

Jerry would help out anyone that needed something accomplished. He is survived by his wife of 69 years of marriage, Margie; a son, Wade (Teresa) Ferr; a sister-in-law, Janet Woodbury Ferr; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Helen Ferr; 3 brothers, Joe, Bob and Stanley (Dee) Ferr; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ryan and Rosa Kunkel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doris (Richard) Christman, Audrey (Al) Riphenburg and Gary (Judy) Kunkel.

Graveside Services will be held at a later date at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
