
In Memory of Jerry J. Baribeau
Jerry Joseph Baribeau Age 84, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, March 19, 2026 in Rice Lake, WI. He was born on May 1, 1941 in Ladysmith, WI to Raymond Sr and Molly (Schott) Baribeau.
Jerry graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1959 and was the last living male of his class. He then went to Business School in Minneapolis. He met Jeanette “Jeannie” Deering and they were married on November 4, 1961 in Little Falls, MN. He started as a bookkeeper for Baribeau Implement and then owned and operated Baribeau Implement with his brothers for many years.
Jerry was on the Red Barn Theatre Board and Treasurer for many years; St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was very heavily involved; and was on St. Joseph School Board. Jerry was also involved in the community and donated to many organizations. He was a wonderful caregiver to his wife and daughter, took care and loved everyone, and his family was the most important thing in this world.
Jerry's faith was also important to him. He is survived by a son, Joel (Carrie) Baribeau; a daughter, Joanne (Mike) Nelson; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas) Ramsey, Katelyn Baribeau (Cole Stodola), Robert (Beth) Darling, Luke Nelson and Clay Nelson; 2 great grandchildren; Grayson and Callahan; 2 sisters-in-law, Rose Mary Baribeau and Joyce Baribeau; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette “Jeannie” Baribeau; a daughter, Jolene Baribeau; a granddaughter, Faith Nelson; his parents, Raymond Sr and Molly Baribeau; 3 brothers, Ray Baribeau, George Baribeau, and Larry Baribeau; and 2 sisters, Clara Waite and Joy Jensen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, March 28, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Phil Juza officiating, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake.
Visitation will be held from 9AM-11AM Saturday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Joseph School or St. Joseph Church.
